MUNICIPALITY OF BOGOVINJE

Municipality of Bogovinje is a municipality in the northwestern part of North Macedonia. The center of the municipality is the village of Bogovinje.

Municipality of Bogovinje, which covers an area of 141.65 km2, borders on the north with Municipality of Tetovo, on the east with Municipality of Brvenica, on the south with Municipality of Vrapchishte and on the west with Republic of Kosovo.

According to the new territorial organization from 2004 (affiliation with Municipality of Kamenjane), municipality of Bogovinje has 28,997 inhabitants.

Municipality of Brvenica is a municipality in the northwestern part of North Macedonia. The center of the municipality is the village of Brvenica.

The municipality, which covers an area of ​​164.3 km2, was established in 1996 by the Law on Territorial Organization of R.N. Macedonia. Before 1996, the territory of municipality of Brvenica was an integral part of municipality of Tetovo. Brvenica is a rural municipality and borders the municipalities of Tetovo, Bogovinje, Zhelino, Gostivar, Vrapchishte and Makedonski Brod. The river Vardar passes through the municipality. Along the river Vardar, important geographical forms in the municipality are the Polog Valley and the mountain Suva Gora, which extends throughout the municipality. Part of the Lake Kozjak is also within this municipality.

According to the 2002 census, the municipality has 15,855 inhabitants.

Municipality of Vrapchishte is a municipality in the western part of North Macedonia. The center of the municipality is the village of Vrapchishte.

Municipality of Vrapchishte is located between the cities of Tetovo and Gostivar, in the valley of Shar Mountain, in the northwestern part of Republic of North Macedonia, which includes a large part of the Polog field. It borders the municipalities of Bogovinje, Brvenica, Gostivar, and to the west with Republic of Kosovo. As a rural area, it covers an area of about 192 km2, with 28,100 inhabitants.

Municipality of Gostivar is a municipality in the northwestern part of Republic of Northern Macedonia. The largest Macedonian river Vardar springs on the territory of the municipality. The seat of the municipality is the city of Gostivar.

Gostivar is a municipality that covers an area of about 650 km2. The city is an administrative, political, business and cultural environment for about 80,000 inhabitants, of which almost 36 thousand live in the city center. It represents a typical multicultural environment. Macedonians, Albanians, Turks, Roma and others live here. A city that is a really nice place to live, because it offers a pleasant climate in all periods of the year, excellent location, communications, business conditions, schooling.

The old municipality of Gostivar that existed until 2004 had 49,545 inhabitants, but the current number of inhabitants of municipality of Gostivar is 81,042.

Municipality of Zhelino is a municipality in Polog, Tetovo region, western part of North Macedonia. The seat of the municipality is the village of Zhelino.

Municipality of Zhelino covers an area of 201.04 km2.

According to an estimate from 2016, municipality of Zhelino has 28,044 inhabitants.

Municipality of Jegunovce is a municipality located in the northwestern part of Lower Polog, the western part of North Macedonia. The seat is the village of Jegunovce.

The regional road R-1203, which has an international significance, also leads through it. The Skopje-Tetovo-Kichevo railway also passes here. It borders the municipalities of Tearce, Zhelino and Saraj, as well as the state border line with Republic of Kosovo. Municipality of Jegunovce covers an area of ​​174 km2.

According to the 2002 census, the municipality has 10,790 inhabitants.

Municipality of Mavrovo and Rostushe is a municipality in the western part of Republic of North Macedonia. It was established in 2004 with the affiliation with the municipalities of Mavrovi Anovi and Rostusha. The center of the municipality is the village of Rostushe. It borders Municipality of Debar to the south, Municipality of Kichevo to the east, and Municipality of Gostivar to the north. The municipality covers an area of 663.19 km2.

According to the last census from 2002, the municipality has 8618 inhabitants.

Municipality of Tearce is a municipality in the northwestern part of North Macedonia. The center of the municipality is the village of Tearce.

The municipality, which covers an area of 136.55 km2, is located in the area of Lower Polog, north of the city of Tetovo. It borders Municipality of Jegunovce to the east and southeast, Municipality of Tetovo to the south, while it reaches the Macedonia-Kosovo state border to the northwest.

According to the 2002 census, the municipality has 22,454 inhabitants.

Municipality of Tetovo is a municipality in the western part of R.N. Macedonia. The center of the municipality is the city of Tetovo.

Tetovo is located in the northwestern part of Republic of North Macedonia, on the slopes of Shar Mountain, i.e. the Lower Polog Valley. Today, the municipality of Tetovo covers an area of ​​261, 89 km2, and together with the newly established municipalities resulting from it and which to this day gravitate towards it, that area is 1,053 km2.

Tetovo is located at 460 – 500 meters above sea level and has a temperate continental valley climate with an average annual temperature of 11.6 ° C.

From a demographic point of view, Municipality of Tetovo is a multiethnic environment with 86,580 citizens and is one of the largest municipalities in terms of population in North Macedonia.
