The Center for development of the Polog planning region (CDPPR) is established in May 2008 according to the Law on Balanced Regional Development. The Center for development of the Polog planning region is a legal entity which is established by all units of local self-government that are part of the Polog planning region.
The Center is registered in front of the competent state institutions according to the Law on Balanced Regional Development.
The Center for development of the Polog planning region performs the following activities:
- Prepares a draft Program for development of the Polog planning region,
- Prepares a draft Action plan for implementation of the Program for development of the Polog planning region,
- Prepares project proposals for the development of the Polog region,
- Coordinates the activities related to the implementation of the Program for development of the Polog planning region,
- Prepares an Annual report for realization of the Program for development of the Polog planning region,
- Provides information to the interested parties during the implementation of the Program for development of the Polog planning region,
- Provides professional and technical support for all units of local self-government in the Polog planning region during the implementation of the Program for development of the Polog planning region,
- Encourages inter-municipal cooperation within the framework of the planning development,
- Provides professional assistance to interested organizations for preparation of projects in the field of the regional development,
- Promotes the opportunities for development of the region and
- Performs professional, technical and administrative work for the needs of the Council for development of the Polog planning region.
